Minnesota is sending Josh Green's $14.7 million deal to Utah for Cody Williams and John Konchar so it can finish the Kuminga signing before Saturday's waive-and-stretch deadline.

Green averaged 4.3 points and 1.8 rebounds last season. Utah wanted that wing body. Minnesota wanted his contract off the books. Saturday is the last day to waive a player and stretch the guarantee. Miss it and the stretch tool sleeps.
The Kuminga signing was already the story. This is the clear. Moving $14.7 million is what lets Minnesota finish that taxpayer midlevel seat without asking the apron for another favor.
